How should custom reports and integrations be checked in an Edge T-Series transition?
A transition is not complete when the application opens
Businesses using Logo ERP often develop their own working arrangements alongside standard screens. A Navigator spreadsheet, a daily-sales SQL report or a connection importing orders may be an essential part of operations. Include these components in an Edge T-Series assessment. Reports must produce correct results and connected systems must continue their business workflows; opening the application alone is not an acceptance test.
Inventory the current setup
List reports and connections with accounting, sales, warehouse and production users as well as IT. For each item record its name, purpose, department, company and period, frequency, source-file location and technical owner. Identify the process affected if it stops. Turn descriptions such as “the morning spreadsheet” into a specific file, connection and expected output.
Define how accuracy will be measured
A report that opens can still calculate incorrectly. Select a sample period and preserve its current results. Define company, period, document date, return and cancellation treatment, currency, tax basis, warehouse and unit conversions. For a daily-sales report, agree whether returns are deducted, service invoices are included and which currency amount is used before comparing totals.
Test complete integration workflows
Check receipt of a sample order, its creation in ERP, stock and account mapping, and the response to the other system. Add repeated submissions, missing master data and connection interruptions to the test plan. Written expected behaviour helps identify where failures occur.
Reassess standard reporting options
Logo’s T-Series presentation includes financial reporting, Logo AI Asistan and personal dashboards. Evaluate whether these meet each specific calculation requirement. Separate reports into those covered by standard features, those needing adaptation and those no longer used. This avoids carrying obsolete files into the new setup.
Write acceptance criteria
Agree who performs each test, what result is acceptable and how problems will be handled. Include backup and rollback steps in the technical plan. Both the technical team and the department using the output should review the final result: sales should validate sales reports, and production should validate production outputs.
Pre-transition review with ER-TE
ER-TE Yazılım has worked with Logo solutions since 2010. We review the current setup, custom reports and integrations to define a suitable project scope. Contact us for on-site or remote preparation and testing support. This checklist is ER-TE’s project-preparation guidance. Confirm product, version, module and licence scope separately; automatic compatibility of custom reports is not guaranteed.
